It is with deep sadness that Nordblom announces the passing of Rodger P. Nordblom. Rod passed away peacefully, at age 85, on February 10, 2013 with his family all gathered around him.
In 1950, after graduating from Harvard, Rod joined the family business then headed by his father Robert C. Nordblom. Eventually Rod took the helm of the company and became a pioneer in creating some of the most prominent business parks along Route 128. Rod was a leader in the industry and valued partner in Nordblom Company right up to his passing. Rod was also involved in many philanthropic organizations, where he had passion for helping people, such as WGBH, Boys and Girls Club, and the Museum of Science.
We celebrate Rod’s life with remembrance of his own words, “be Bold, be Good and be Generous… be Bold with your thoughts and actions, be Good to the world around you and be Generous of yourself to others.”
We at Nordblom Company will miss Rod’s honor, spirit and creativity.
