PAUL Bakery to Open at 3rd Ave Burlington in 2014

BURLINGTON (February 19, 2014) — 3rd Ave Burlington, the dining and entertainment heart of Burlington, announced that they have completed a 2,627 square foot lease with PAUL Bakery.  Being developed by Nordblom Company, the 3rd Ave retail-walking street will be anchored by Wegmans and Kings Bowl and home to The Bancroft, Cambridge Savings Bank, Tony C’s, Redstone American Grill, Boston Interiors and Carter’s Diamonds.
“In keeping with our theme of delivering best-of-class operators, PAUL brings to 3rd Ave the finest of international flavors with their bakery and European coffee bar,” stated Douglas Wynyard, Senior Vice President for Nordblom Company.  “It will be an exceedingly elegant venue and you’ll think you’re in Paris.  On y va!”
Established in Lille, France in 1889, PAUL Bakery is world-renown with nearly 600 stores in 30 countries, and in such prime locations as Barcelona, Brussels, Cairo, Dubai, Istanbul, London, Moscow, Paris, Singapore, and Tokyo.  The bakery & café are opulently decorated so as to transport you to Paris with its antique fixtures and elegant chairs and banquettes.  The café will accommodate approximately 70 people in 3 different “rooms”, each with their own special design personality.  In the spring, an outdoor terrace will be added.  Throughout the day, PAUL will serve an array of pastries, quiches and other egg dishes, crepes, sandwiches made on fresh baguettes, fresh salads, and soup.  PAUL’s breads are made fresh daily from an organic, locally sourced flour mill exclusively for PAUL, are naturally fermented and are made without additives or preservatives.
3rd Ave, a unique addition to the Route 128 corridor, is being developed as a wide boulevard lined with restaurants, cafes, retail boutiques and other service amenities, with a focus on pedestrian walkways and public green space.  The development is easily accessible to major area roadways, and is bounded by Route 3, the Middlesex Turnpike and Route 128/Interstate 95.  For more information about 3rd Ave, visit
