Sell over 1 MSF of Life Science developments in greater Boston including 321 Harrison and The Beat

Opened Nightingale a 143 Unit Mixed-Use residential property with ground floor retail in the heart of downtown Providence, RI.

2019

Recapitalized Network Drive while opening two new residential communities in Massachusetts.

2018

Recapitalized 1000 Washington and 321 Harrison in downtown Boston and opened Huntington apartments in Burlington.

2017

Acquired the 16 acre 700,000 former Boston Globe headquarters in Boston with the vision for creating a high tech, life science campus on the MBTA red line, The BEAT.

2016

Constructed and leased Linea Cambridge, The Tremont in Burlington, and MEZZO1 in Charlotte, NC, totaling 350 units.

2015

Acquires historic Providence Journal Building and adjoining development parcels in Providence, RI.

2014

Opened 3rd Ave, the social and entertainment heart of Burlington.

2013

Nordblom sells 50 Congress Street after being involved with ownership and management of the building for over 60 years. The Nordblom Family Foundation was funded by the sale proceeds.

2012-2015

Permitted over 1000 apartment units in Boston, Cambridge, Burlington, and Charlotte, NC.

2012

Nordic Properties re-integrates with Nordblom Company after more than $1B of deals.

2007

Rezoned Northwest Park for high-density mixed use. The project is among the largest, multi-phased redevelopment projects in New England.

Nordblom acquires the 1 million SF former Sun Microsystems Campus in Burlington, MA, known now as Network Drive.

2006

Purchases 777 Memorial Drive Radisson Hotel and reflagged to a Marriott Courtyard.

2005

Acquired the North American headquarters of OSRAM Sylvania which marked 2 million SF of corporate surplus properties acquired and redeveloped.

Acquired first assets in Raleigh, NC.

2004

Launched The Northbridge Companies to focus on meeting the needs of the growing senior housing market.

1998-1999

Developed Hood Business Park Charlestown with the owners HP Hood & Son.

1995

Created Nordic Properties as an affiliate to pursue complicated investment opportunities and redevelop millions of square feet with institutional capital, starting with 230 Congress St, Boston.

1980's

Expands its development footprint to seven communities along 495 and develops millions of square feet for the growth of minicomputer Giants including DEC, Wang and Data General.

1970's

Completes its 40th and last R&D building at Northwest Park.

1955-1960

Developed Northwest Park - one of the first modern suburban parks in partnership with George Macomber upon the completion of Boston’s first circumferential highway, Route 128/I-95.

1952

Negotiated the sale of Braves Baseball Field to Boston University and consulted on its transition into Nickerson Field.

1950s

Co-developed and brokered one of the nation’s first build-to-suits in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Tenants such as DuPont and General Electric helped define Cambridge as a leading high-tech office market.

1948

Nordblom briefly owns the Hotel del Coronado in Coronado, CA.

1943

Purchased 50 Congress Street in Boston’s Financial District which was the company’s headquarters for forty years.

1937

Helped a small business acquire its first hotel and assisted in its subsequent growth into the global giant now known as Sheraton.

1930

Purchased first high-rise residential investment – Pelham Hall, located in Brookline, MA, is still owned today.
